Launch Hampton Roads is Opportunity Inc.’s grant to provide entrepreneurship training under the U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation Fund as part of a three region Virginia consortium that includes organizations in Northern Virginia and Richmond.
In Hampton Roads, the program will provide 250 adult and dislocated workers eligible for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) services with comprehensive entrepreneurship training and technical assistance via Old Dominion University, Opp Inc.’s partner.

The Technology Commercialization Center, created and incorporated in Virginia in 1999. is a small, for-profit, business. TeCC won a NASA competition to operate the NASA Mid-Atlantic Regional Technology Transfer Center (RTTC) in February 2001. On March 13, 2009, TeCC was awarded a 5-year contract by NASA Langley Research Center to provide support to the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer program.
